FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Common questions from Malaysian SME owners about managed IT support.

What is Managed IT Support?

Managed IT Support means EripTech acts as your outsourced IT team — handling day-to-day support, monitoring, Microsoft 365, devices, infrastructure and security for a predictable monthly fee, instead of you managing IT reactively or building an in-house team.

Do I need an in-house IT person?

Not necessarily. Many SMEs use EripTech as their entire IT function. If you already have internal IT staff, we can work alongside them — for example handling specialist areas like security, infrastructure or Microsoft 365 while your team handles day-to-day tasks.

What's included in the monthly fee?

Each plan includes a defined set of services — remote support, Microsoft 365 administration, monitoring, patch management, security baseline and more depending on the plan. See the Pricing page for the full breakdown by plan.

Are there additional charges?

Yes — some items are quoted separately from the monthly fee, including hardware, Microsoft and vendor licences, major projects and migrations, cabling and large onsite work. Your monthly plan covers ongoing support within the agreed scope.

How does onboarding work?

We start with an assessment of your users, devices and systems, then document your environment and establish support processes before moving into ongoing monitoring and support. See the "From Assessment to Managed IT" process on our homepage for the full steps.

Do you support Microsoft 365?

Yes. We support Microsoft 365 administration, user and licence management, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Entra ID and general Microsoft 365 security and collaboration.

Can you manage our existing IT infrastructure?

Yes. We start with an assessment of your existing infrastructure, then transition it into our monitoring and support processes as part of onboarding.

Do you provide onsite support?

Onsite support is available depending on your selected plan and location — the Complete plan includes allocated onsite support, and onsite visits can also be arranged separately for other plans.

Is there a long-term contract?

Contract terms are agreed based on the selected service plan.

What happens if we want to leave?

Transition and termination terms are defined in the service agreement.
